Sacramento Sportsmen’s Expo

Each winter the Escott team leaves the Wild West coast for sunnier shores to the south, to spread the word about the world-class king salmon fishing off of Haida Gwaii. The team, lead by owner and master salmon fisherman Danny Escott, share their incredible tales with their southern neighbour’s at a variety of outdoor trade shows.

These exhibitions feature seminars, gear demonstrations and travel experiences, providing new opportunities for outdoor lovers around the continent. Attendees converse with other outdoor sport enthusiasts, guides and owners. Tips are shared, gear is tested and plans are made to visit exciting locations for new outdoor experiences.

The first stop on the tour is California, for Sacramento’s International Sportsmen’s Expo. This is the 30th annual sportsman’s exhibition in Sacramento and to celebrate, the hosts are pulling out all the stops. This year’s expo promises over 200 seminars, 640 exhibiting companies, 45 fishing boat brands and the most vertical fun you can have on dry land. There are even two off-road test tracks for ATV and SUV dirt-shredding fun.

The fair kicks off on Thursday, January 19th and runs until Sunday, January 22nd. Entrance is a measly $17 and children (under 16) and veterans are free.

Escott’s salmon fishing charters Haida Gwaii will be setup in the pavilion, across from ‘Rogue Jet Boats’ and beside ‘California’s Lake County’ display. Come say hi to Danny and hear stories of the mighty Tyee.
